Unfortunately, iOS and Android users won’t be able to use the Facebook-owned Messenger app to bulk delete messages, but they will have the same features as website and Mac/Windows apps. Instead of right-clicking in desktop programs, you’ll hold down and drag on any message you wish to remove or then follow the on?

An open Message is a handy tool that allows you to quickly and securely remove all of your Facebook chat histories. We’ll describe how to do it below, but first, click the orange “Open Messages” button. Select the “Delete All Messages” option. Done! In a matter of minutes, the extension will erase all of your Facebook chat conversations.

Open the Messages app and select a chat thread. long-press on a message to highlight it. Tap any additional messages you wish to remove to delete them. To erase the messages, tap the trash can symbol from the menu bar at the top of the application window.

Uninstall the Messenger app. In this pane, look for a message you don’t want to save. Select the purple tab labeled Archive. Open the Messenger app on your phone. Tap your profile photo in the upper left corner. Chats that have been archived can be found here.

Delete messages: Select one or more communications (text messages, photos, videos, files, weblinks, audio messages, or emoji) in the transcript and then press Delete.
