Permanent deactivation of a Kik account refers to the removal of the account for good. You will no longer receive messages or emails from Kik. No one will be able to look for you on the site, and your username and profile will be removed from your friends’ phonebooks forever.

If you permanently delete your Kik account, you will no longer be able to use it. You will not be able to create a new account using the same login after deleting your account.

There is no direct link to file a deletion request for Kik on the Google Play store. You can, however, do so on the company’s website. The webform is simple to use and only takes your username and email address as well as the reason for your departure.

Another alternative you do have is to deactivate your Kik account. Nobody will be able to contact your Kik name, add you on Kik, or view your chat communications after you’ve done this since they’ll be “cached” for a few days before being automatically erased.

Kik is safe if used intelligently and in good faith. Its security features have made it popular among younger users, but they’ve also attracted those looking to use the software for abusive purposes.
