Every time you log your weight in our system, MyFitnessPal recalculates and updates your goals.Most people should log their weight once a week.If you’ve lost more than 10 pounds since the last time your goals were calculated, it’s likely that we will need to decrease your calorie intake.

A negative calorie adjustment means you’ll use fewer calories on this given day than what is estimated by MyFitnessPal. You can make a negative calorie adjustment in your diary settings, which are found under “My Home,” then “Settings” and finally “Diary Settings.”
