Types of PTO

Full-time worker PTO 

For employees with less than a year of experience, the yearly PTO is 80 hours, or 10 days.

120 hours or 15 days for an employee with 1 to 6 years of experience.

Employees with more than 6 years of experience get compensated for 160 hours (20 days) of work.

PTO for reduced time worker

PTO for part-time worker

Employees who work for 20 to 29 hours a week are considered as part-time workers. An employee with less than a year of experience will get 40 hours or five days of PTO. And employee with an experience of 1 to 6 years will get 60 hours or 7.5 days of annual PTO and employees with more experience will get 80 hours or 10 days of annual PTO. 

Personal time off

Personal time is a distinct type of PTO. Depending on whether they work part-time, reduced-time, or full-time in the United States, paid employees can earn 3-6 days of personal time.

Difference between salaried and hourly employees amount for PTO 

Well, it is obvious PTO is available to salaried employees as well, but keep in mind that the amounts are slightly different from those available to hourly employees. The pay of a salaried employee is calculated by the number of hours they put in each week.

You will receive 3.5 hours of PTO for a total of 6 months of the year. And after that, you will stop accruing, but continue to receive 1.5 hours of vacation during the whole year.

The answer is yes if you have built up enough hours. Every year all full-time employees get 48 hours of personal paid time off and 40 hours of vacation.
